Hi

I am looking for a ground cover plant to plant on path edges etc.  Ideally something that doesn't grow too tall, suppresses weeds, looks after itself and if at all possible provide good cutting foliage or flowers.  Any ideas?

Thanks  Andrea

Hi Andrea

I have hostas and alchemilla as path edging, both work well. I also have muscari along the edge of a large bed but cover with fabric once the leaves die back. Osteospermum grows well across edges and outcompetes weeds. I have one at my front door that's good for cutting & is hardy.

Best wishes
Paula

I have been loving the heucheras this year - the flowers are lovely in bouquets and arrangements and the foliage comes in all sorts of colours

Hi Andrea,

I grow Alpine strawberries and Ajuga 'Jungle Giant'. I too love the Heucheras - so diverse a group of plants.

best wishes
Rosie
