Hi All
I am looking for recommendations for ranunculus and anemone suppliers ( I think I missed out on the G & G order ) never had great success in the past with Parkers Dutch bulbs wether it's climate, site etc but thought I'd try an alternative.
Plus any tips and advice on growing/ planting greatly received, I'm based in quite an exposed cold spot, but have small tunnel space.
Thanks in advance.
Rachel

Hello Rachel,

Ranunculus will be better off in a polytunnel - they need shelter and protection for the best quality blooms.  Plenty of compost and fertiliser as they are heavy feeders, and very regular watering.  I think that lots of us buy in groups to get better quality cut-flower bulbs from wholesale suppliers, but you do need to purchase alot for an order, usually 500 claws per colour.  I organised a bulk buy for the East Anglia group which should be arriving this week - I think that I have 100x Friandine Salmon unsold if you are interested at all (claws from Comptoir Paulinois - check their website for colour).  Please email directly for more info if required celrob...@btinternet.com
