Ryan and FlowCapers,

Unfortunately I will be unable to participate in the coordinating committee conference call tomorrow, but if Bobby Prill and/or Julio Saez Rodriguez
participate they can tell me the details of the discussion later on.

You asked me for a brief description of what I have in mind. So here it goes:

1) As Juio mentioned, you can come to discuss the results of your challenge in our DREAM5 conference.
2) You can have one of you data sets as one of the DREAM5 set of challenges for this year.
3) We can think of future joint challenges.

These are a few possible ways to collaborate. Look forward to future discussions,

Gustavo

Sounds great,  Please call in to 604-707-4539 access code: 777888#. I was timezone challenged in my earlier email, my apologies. The call is scheduled for 1pm Pacific, not 10am.

Hopefully we can talk then, or arrange another time in the coming days.

Cheers,
Ryan

Ryan,

Along with Gustavo Stolovitzky and Julio Saez-Rodriguez, I am one of the DREAM organizers. I am available to dial-in to your conference call tomorrow if you choose. Perhaps Gustavo could also attend but I don't know his schedule. I look forward to hearing about flowCAP and contributing some lessons we have learned from DREAM.

- Bobby

Ryan (and rest of flowCAP committee),

Thanks for getting back us so quickly and your interest in collaborating. The email was just a first contact; we thought it would be good to get in contact since it seems that DREAM shares so much in spirit with flowCAP. It would be great to coordinate efforts and see if e.g. you could come to the next DREAM meeting to present your project (or even have  a joint event).

I am in Europe now traveling with limited internet/phone access, and most likely will not be able to  join tomorrow for the phone call, but will be happy to discuss further per email and arrange a phone call for later on (Back to Boston in 10 days).

Julio

Gustavo,

On behalf of the rest of the flowCAP organizing committee, I'd like to thank you for the invitation to discuss the possibility of collaborating with the DREAM project. We had been using DREAM as a guide for our efforts already, so we are excited at the possibility of hopefully arranging something more formal. Your timing is excellent as we had been planning to announce the release of our datasets to the community in the next week. Could you send along a short description of what you had in mind?  To move discussion along quickly, hopefully you are available to join our next coordinating committee conference call this Wednesday (the 17th) at 10am Pacific?

Cheers,
Ryan on behalf of the the flowCAP Organizing Committee:
