clearCrosshair() doesn't seem to work

Has anyone had any success using the clearCrosshair() function?  I've been trying to use it and it doesn't seem to work at all.  I am able to set the crosshair to a specific position using drawCrosshair, but when I try to clear it using clearCrosshair, nothing happens.
