The existence of the canvas plugin.

Hi,

I'm wondering if you guys can shed some light on the status of the canvas plugin. Scouring the internet, I've seen evidence that version 0.8 of flot introduced the 'canvas' plugin, which allowed users to render tick labels as part of the canvas rather than as separate html. Does this plugin still exist? And if not, is it still possible to configure flot to draw tick labels on the canvas?
