The Radio Player plugin is a simple and efficient solution for adding live-streaming audio to your WordPress website. Radio Player is specially configured to play any MP3, Shoutcast, IceCast, Radionomy, Airtime, Live365, radio.co, and any audio stream in your WordPress website.
With this plugin, you can easily broadcast live radio stations, podcasts, and other audio content. The plugin is highly customizable, with features such as a customizable player, playlist management, and more, making it a powerful tool for any website looking to enhance its audio streaming capabilities.
? Add a New Player
To play a radio station, you first need to add a new player. You can do this by navigating to the Radio Player page on your WordPress dashboard and clicking the Add New button. Here, you can enter the player details, such as the name, audio source, and player skin.
? Display the Sticky Player
To display the sticky player, you first need to select the player that you want to use as the sticky player from the Radio Player > Settings > Sticky Player Settings page. Here, you can also choose to display the sticky player only on specific pages by excluding them from the settings.
? Play HTTP Streams
If you want to play HTTP streams on your website, you need to enable the HTTP player from the Radio Player > Settings > HTTP Player Settings page. Here, you can also specify the HTTP player buffer size and other settings.
Efficiently functioning with a variety of audio streams, such as MP3 or AAC, Radio Player supports numerous major radio providers. These include ShoutCast, IceCast, Radionomy, Airtime, Live365, and radio.co, among others.

Modern browsers no longer accept mixed requests. If your website utilizes HTTPS, an HTTPS radio link is necessary. For further information, please refer to this link: -more-mixed-messages-about-https.html
Metadata Proxy Settings: If after the above steps the metadata remains undisplayed, consider activating the Metadata Proxy settings. This can typically be found under the HTTP player settings tab within the plugin settings page.

Furthermore, cmus looks nice and offers several views, a file browser and many configuration settings. cmus is available from the standard Ubuntu repositories. To get up to speed with cmus, first read the tutorial by typing the following command:
To navigate between directories of .m3u and .pls files, one could use the CLI file browser ranger, configured to call the above script for these file types. The struggle of setting this up pays itself back by being the fastest access method. This is what I personally use in a daily setting.
Select a file from some directory using a menu similar to Midnight Commander, and MOC will start playing all files in this directory beginning from the chosen file. There is no need to create any playlists, even though MOC handles these as well.
First of all, you will need to get hold of a URL that points to a real stream and not just a site that offers internet radio listening. This is probably the hardest part. You can search the station's website or google if there are any streams for that particular station. The stream URL is not the URL of a player on the station's website.
For example, opens in a browser and has buttons to play and stop etc. Then I right-click and select 'view source' and another page opens. I searched for mp3, (or you can search for ""), somewhere in there you'll find the link that is actually being used. In the example here, it turned out to be sort of hidden...
Today I as looking for the same thing as the OP, and found an option I cannot believe is not listed here. If you're interested in a music player server which can run on the background and receive commands from any of many compatible clients, you could be interested in
With an incredibly generic name, Music Player Daemon (mpd) is a server (so it runs in the background) that takes commands from client applications like the analogously named mpc. Both mpd and mpc are exclusively command line applications, but if you like a little GUI to go with your CLI, you can use clients for mpd such as Ario.
Personally, I host an instance of MPD on a Raspberry Pi on my LAN, I connect a speaker to it, and I can SSH into it to control my music or use a client like Ario from my PC to control it (also remotely).
But once you have chosen your preferred radio you need to get its streaming address. How to do that cannot be answered but on a per-case basis. There are websites that list radio stations and provide their streaming address, sometimes as a playlist file, for example The playlist file contains links to the actual stream. More info here.
I am very new to ETS2 and TruckersMP and i'm trying to use the radio to listen to music with my friends but whenever i start driving with the radio on it keeps turning off randomly.
When i alt-tab sometimes it comes back other times it stays gone.
i had this problem with downloaded music too. its because i did it with a crappy mp3 converter so the music stops when a song converted with that converter due to id3 datas i think . i also have problems with some radiochannels which doesnt work even if they are in my country. i guess its a problem of the game itself
1: I tried running ETS2 and TMP in admin in admin and radio did not work
2: I tried using the music player feature in both ETS2 and TMP and it did work.
3: I tried validating game files, did nothing.
But I found a solution on listening to radio with my friends; just listen on radiotrucker.com
Thanks for the help but I don't think I'll get the in-game radio to work.

Radio Player Proxy Add-on for Radio Player facilitates the playback of HTTP (non-SSL) radio streams on HTTPS-enabled websites. Serving as a bridge, it retrieves the radio stream and delivers it to the player as an HTTPS stream.
Additionally, if your website server struggles to retrieve stream data including currentlyplaying song title, artist, artwork, and recent play history, the plugin can fix display of themetadata.
Enable the http player from the settings.Try to play a Radio Player Proxy now, If your server is able enough to handle the Radio Player Proxy then the radio stream will be played after enabling the Radio Player Proxy setting.
Listen to any MP3 podcast with internal or external source (supported providers for instance Anchor.fm or Blubrry, or upload your own mp3 locally) and automatically include the latest audio podcasts in your player.
