Hello,
One thing to consider with a sole proprietorship is that the owner has
unlimited personal liability for any debts and other obligations. When
you incorporate, the company pays any taxes and assumes liabilities.
If you do decide to go with a sole proprietorship, be sure to keep
your personal and business accounts separate with a business bank
account or accounts.

As for licensing, check with your city or county tax collector for
information on a business tax license (previously called an
occupational license). I don't think that there are state licensing
requirements for dog trainers, but doublecheck with the Florida
Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
If you decide to start the business as a sole proprietorship, you will
likely need to file a fictitious name registration with the Florida
Department of State, Division of Corporations. Fictitious names are
required if the business name is not your personal name. Fictitious
name registrations are not required for corporations. Here are more

Good Luck!
