Critical reception
The movie released with a 'Highly Positive' response from both the critics and the viewers. Sapthamashree Thaskaraha: is considered as one of the 'Best' movies among all the 2014 Onam Festival releases. The director Anil Radhakrishnan was highly appreciated for delivering good direction and Prithviraj Sukumaran was praised for his consistent smart script selection and performance. Asif Ali was also appreciated for his performance and stunt in the movie.
