Where : Indian Community Center (ICC Hall) 5511 Lynn Rd, Tampa, FL 33624. An evening of spectacular works of ace Choreographer and Actor Shobana. Crafted for lovers of the Avant-grade, innovative with classical and Bollywood dancing. Krishna-the musical showcases the man, his philosophy and why he is still beyond man's understanding. All on a canvas from Vrindavan, Mathura to kurukshethra. It is for this, Krishna will speak out more clearly than shows in the past.

The show, KRISHNA is a musical drama in English focused on the entire life of KRISHNA from childhood on wards. Filled with music, dance and provoking thought, this is an entertainer as well as retrospect into the life of Krishna. The role of Krishna is played by Shobhana who is accompanied by a group of 16 artists including her daughter Narayani. The design of Krishna does not follow conventional patterns. Instead, it is a symphony of various dance forms ranging from ancient classical forms to Bollywood dance. The background design of the performance provides the majestic ambience of Mathura, Brindavan, and Kuruskhetra.Popular film songs composed by the illustrious music director, A R Rahman forms the musical theme of the dance drama. The sound mixing is done by the Oscar winner Rasool Pookkutty. The voice of the characters are rendered by some of the best known film actors from India including Surya Sivakumar for Arjuna, Konkana Sen for Radha, Shabana Azmi for Gandhari, and Shobhana for Draupadi. Actors such as Andrea Jeremiah, Sukumari, Prabhu, and Radha lend their voice to the other characters in Krishna. The show is at ICC hall near Hindu Temple Tampa on Saturday, May 16th at 7.30 PM.
