On Wednesday, terrorists ambushed a convoy of Indian Central Reserve Police in the southern Kashmir town of Anantnag, killing five officers. Pakistan-based terrorist group Al Umar Mujahideen claimed responsibility for the Anantnag attack.
“Wednesday’s attack in Kashmir is, sadly, one more incident in a long history of efforts by Pakistan to destabilize Kashmir, and by extension the entire nation of India. It is the responsibility of the international community to push Pakistan to end its support for cross-border terrorism, as well as to quell the increasing influence of violent extremism and radicalization within Pakistan.”
2019 Advocacy Forum with our Kashmir Partners
This year, our Advocacy Forum will be cohosted by Indo American Kashmir Forum (IAKF), and done in partnership with Kashmir Hindu Foundation (KHF). We will be advocating for the passage of H.Res 408 which “condemns harshly the terrorist attack in India that tragically killed 41 Indian Central Reserve Police” and “reaffirms solidarity with the Indian people and offers its deepest condolences to people who lost loved ones in the terrorist attack.”
What You Can Do...
