We hope that all of you are doing well and had a good summer. Recent times have been extremely tough, yet the resilience of the human spirit shone through. We have adapted to live in the "New Normal." We at Shehjar are back to work and have come out with a new issue. We have our spotlight on Dr. T.N. Ganjoo who has done remarkable work for the revival of the Sharda script. With his work, will come the revival of some priceless scripts. The book on Mohan Raina, "Art in Kashmir" by Sudesh Raina is covered here as is "Neel Gatha" by Dr. Agnishekhar & Earth on Trial by Jeevan Zutshi. These books are a must read. Neha Ganju Tanna fought an inspirational battle with dreadful cancer and we share some of her notes. We cover the aftermath of the US withdrawal from Afghanistan and what the future may hold. Koshur Raag has been working hard to promote Kashmiri artists and music and we acknowledge their work. There are several other important features by authors including Sunanda Zadoo Vashisht, Dr. Tej K. Munshi, Dr. Makhan Lal Babu and Dr. Chaman Lal Raina. Shehjar is the watercove of the Kashmiri community and your getaway to Kashmir. It is teamwork. Shehjar is collaboratively building a vision for our Kashmiri community as well as a reflection of Kashmiri culture, news and views to the world. Our mission is to Research and Broadcast honestly.
