About our Sunday "Uposatha" day:

Anyone who is interested in learning about original Buddhist teachings or gaining a deeper understanding of the Dhamma is invited to join us. This day is a great opportunity to meet noble friends (kalyana mitta), learn from each other and devote some time for meditation & study of the Dhamma. Traditionally, in Buddhist countries, such a day is called "Uposatha" day and was observed since the time of the Buddha who recommended a little spiritual "off-time" for his lay disciples.

For those planning on staying for lunch after Dhamma Class this Sunday, please note that you are invited to join our potluck. We will also offer some Dana for the Bhantes. All courses are provided free of charge. Any donations will go to the support of our Vihara or the Buddhist Global Relief. Please contact me off-list, in case you need banking instructions to support the Vihara on a regular basis. Any donation, no matter how small, is highly appreciated and will be used to support the Sangha and Vihara.

A special opportunity for your generous hearts:

Much though one recites the sacred texts,
but acts not accordingly,
that heedless one is like a cowherd
who only counts the cows of others --
not practicing the teachers teaching.
