Freeze warning remains in effect from 2 am to 9 am est sunday, freeze watch
in effect from late Sunday night through Monday morning,
The NWS in jacksonville has issued a freeze watch, which is in effect from
late Sunday night through Monday morning. A freeze warning remains in effect
from 2 am to 9 am est sunday.
An arctic airmass in place will allow for freeze conditions tonight.
Temperatures will bottom out early Sunday morning in the upper 20s away from
the coast and inland waterways with long durations of sub-freezing
temperatures expected. Slightly warmer conditions into the lower 30s are
expected at the coast and along inland waterways. Northwest winds of 5 to 10
mph will drop wind chill indices to around 25 degrees.
The frigid airmass will continue through early next week. Temperatures are
again forecast to bottom out in the upper 20s early Monday morning with long
durations of sub-freezing temperatures expected. This has prompted the
issuance of hard freeze watch for Sunday night into Monday morning. Slightly
warmer temperatures into the lower 30s are forecast at the coast and along
the st. Johns river basin.

ALONG AND NORTH OF THE I-4 CORRIDOR...AND LOWER TO MIDDLE 30S
