It's Election Time!

Hello Sons!

According to our Detachment Constitution ARTICLE X SECTION 13:

 All officers of Squadrons, except the Squadron Adjutant and the Squadron Judge Advocate, shall be elected and certified to the Department Adjutant and Detachment Adjutant, not more than ninety (90) days, nor less than ten (10) days prior to the Annual Detachment Convention, certification to be made on forms furnished or prescribed by the Detachment Adjutant.  

With our Annual Detachment Convention starting on June 12, 2026 this means that Squadrons may hold their elections from March 13, 2026 - June 1, 2026.

Once you complete your elections, you must complete and send to me the Squadron Information Report (SIR). This form is provided to Department so they can vet all elected officers are in good standing, assign them member processing permissions in myLegion.org, and create the Department Directory for the new Service Year. If these forms aren't turned in, your squadron will not be able to process membership once Department resets membership processing access.

The SIR form is attached to this message, it is also included in your end of year reporting packets and is available on our website as a fillable PDF file at https://floridasons.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/03-SIR-0525.pdf. Do not wait to send this report in with your other reports - send in in as soon as your elections are completed. Please do your best to make sure that all contact information for each officer is complete.
