Gentlemen, this email is being sent on behalf of Membership Chairman Stawicki.
I am going to start by saying we missed our first target of the year. We have reached everyone up till this point and we failed by 131 cards to reach our Detachment (National) target date even thou the actual National target date is two weeks away and I am sure we reach it by then. Point is, we have made every target this year up till now and we are really struggling to get a handling on our membership. We only transmitted 208 cards which is the second lowest this year.
The membership Committee (Vice Commanders) need to make some calls and do some serious emails and going, if we are to reach our Commanders goal of 30,000 members. There is a lot of work ahead of us.
I’m not going to get into a lot of who is who as the report says all of that. We are doing a really good job, but we need to pick up the pieces and get on board with the rest of the ship. We have 91 Squadrons below target, that is 46.67% of the Detachment, almost one half. What is up with that? Why are we here just weeks from Convention. We have in these Squadron 969 members available for renewal, add that into our numbers and things start to change.
We have as a Detachment 4,245 new members and have renewed 23,124. Do the math with the 27,500 members and we have renewed 23,124, that means we have 4,376 possible member to renew or reinstate. What’s going on, are we not looking at these numbers or are just looking for the 100% number. We need to be working our membership, and yes, it is work. It takes time and commitment and visitations to be successful with our membership.
I’m going to leave you with this. If we continue the path we are walking, the lights will go out and we will fail ourselves, Commander Nigbor, and most importantly our membership. Let’s finish strong and be Detachment that the Country looks up to.
A big Congratulation to all the Squadrons, District, and Area and your staffs for the work on being over 100%. Great work by everyone. Keep going as we are not finished.
