The 1st place prize is four cords of firewood, 2nd place is three cords, 3rd place is two cords, and 4th place is one cord. The game begins at 5 p.m. at COS.  The Lady Eagles are 3-1 for the season after dowing American River, 76-57 last Friday.

Yreka High basketball season passes now being sold Posted: 01 Dec 2013 10:00 AM PST YREKA– The Yreka High boys and girls basketball teams are selling season tickets for all the home games. The cost is $35 and includes the season opener for both teams vs. Weed on Tuesday and the 59th Annual Yreka Miners Invitational, which begins next Thursday. Etna Lions basketball teams open year vs. the Dunsmuir Tigers on Monday Posted: 01 Dec 2013 09:57 AM PST ETNA – The Etna High boys and girls varsity basketball team open the year at home on Monday vs. the Dunsmuir Tigers. The girls game begins at 6 p.m. and the boys game at 8 p.m. There will be no junior varsity games due to the fact Dunsmuir did not field JV squads this year.

Yreka High boys cross country team takes state title in D4 Posted: 30 Nov 2013 08:04 AM PST The Yreka High boys cross country team are state champions again. The Miner squad took first overall in Division 4 with 102 points at the CIF State Championships in Fresno late Saturday morning. The Miners also won it all in 2011. Yreka senior Clayton Bunn finished 6th overall in D4. Yreka came in ranked 1st overall in D4 heading into state.
