Substatution for Bike FL

We have participated in the Bike FL event for 5 years and are looking for a new ride. I was told about a Safari ride but then told that it has disbanded?

Can anyone address this question and can anyone give suggestions for other FL weeklong or weekend long rides?

The Florida Bicycle Safari is still going strong after 28 years. The
Florida Freewheelers bicycle club has run the event since 1993.
Registration opens for the 2009 Safari on December 1st. See

I love Bike Safari. I've gone for the last 6 years. If you plan to do the 6-day, register early. It fills up fast and the portion of the ride over at Cherry Lake is the best.
