Minneola Hills route map

There's a new Sunday route starting this week leaving from the
Minneola trailhead just north of Clermont. To reach the trailhead,
drive north on 27 from Clermont. After passing the Citrus Tower on
your right, look for a brown sign indicating a right turn to the
trailhead. Turn right on E. Washington, an immediate right on S.
Bloxam, and left on Madison. The trailhead parking is on the right.

The route follows the south lake trail until Blackstill lake road,
then follows the 35-mile HH route to Ferndale and back. Total
distance is about 18-19 miles, though we also pass by the Minneola
trail head after about 14 miles for those with limited time. A

Hello Michael,

My name is Phyllis Berry and I haven't made it to an event yet but I am
very interested in this one due to the fact we are looking to move out
that way. What does this ride consist of? I have a mountain bike
and use to ride 25 - 30 miles. This was a few years back but I am
looking to get back into riding. What time do you meet and do you make
this ride every Sunday?

This ride is on the cycling trail (paved) and roads. The route is
certainly not flat, but it also doesn't include any big hill climbs.
We meet at the Minneola trailhead at about 7:15 so we can roll out at
7:30. Most of the group "used to ride" and is trying to get back into
riding. It's a D ride which means no one gets dropped.


I've heard at least one person has had trouble viewing the route on

Hello Phyllis,

This will be our first "Formal" D ride for the Freewheeler club.

This ride will be close to 19 miles and we will meet at the Minneola
Trailhead.

If you would like to join us please be there no later than 7:15 as we will
leave promptly at 7:30

Michael Zehr has posted the map for this particular ride on the blog.

We do plan to go every Sunday, however it is always good to confirm with me
to make sure the ride is going as scheduled. And the routes will vary.

Sometimes we need to adjust start times to accommodate work schedules.

We also ride from this starting place on Tuesday and Thursday at 8:00
