I am a cyclist coming into town (Orlando) late this coming Friday night, April 30, 2010. I have check with all of the bicycle shops and I will be unable to rent a bike from any of them. I would like to ride that coming morning, but am running out of options. I don’t get in to town until 11 PM and my only day to ride will be Saturday morning.
I apologize for the late request, but because I am getting into town so late and there is no way I am going to be able to rent a bike, I would appreciate it you would put the word out to your group that I would like to borrow a bike for your Saturday morning ride. I am 5 foot 10 inches tall. I did get in contact with the Florida Freewheelers, but haven’t gotten much response. I use spd cleats and would be happy to bring my own pedals and pedal wrench if needed. Any efforts by y’all will be appreciated. I am looking forward to riding in Florida (maybe).
I am the ride chairman for my club, the Hancock Handlebars Bicycling Club. We have a great and very flat Century Club Ride in early September, the Hancock Horizontal Hundred, if any one from your club wants to come up and ride in Ohio. I can certainly put a couple of people up at our house. I am also the club map maker. I really liked the looks of your maps.
Please e-mail me or phone me directly. Thanks for any assistance. I look forward to hearing from you (and riding too if such works out).

Would that be a retro bike – the request is dated April 30, 2010. Wondering how this message got through.
Hi Merris,
I'm checking with my husband to see if you can borrow his bike. In the meantime, this place is right at the ride start and they should be able to help you out.

I'll be back in touch when I hear from the Mr. He's your height and has Speedplay Light Action pedals on his bike.
