Happy new year, Freewheelers!
In case you haven't seen it in the newsletter, we will be forming a beginner cycling team this year that will be training to do a century ride in October. I need your help!
This information needs to reach as many people as possible for us to be able to recruit. I'm attaching both a .doc and .pdf file to this posting that is the flyer that I will be distributing to bike shops and YMCAs in the area. Please print and/or send this flyer to anybody and everybody you can think of to help increase awareness. Post it on the bulletin boards in your offices or churches. Forward the files to people you know who can help us recruit. Call any of your friends that you think may be interested in joining us. Like the old shampoo commercial...you tell two friends, and they tell two friends, and so on and so on. Let's spread the word exponentially!
There is a meeting for all prospective team members at B3 on January 30 at 7:00pm. Get as many people as you can to attend the meeting!
If anyone is willing and able to help distribute the flyers to the bike shops and Ys, please let me know, particularly if you live in outlying areas like Clermont, Winter Garden, Deland, Celebration, Kissimmee, etc. Throughout this week I'll be making rounds around the city and I should be able to hit most of them "in the loop" just in my regular daily travels. I never realized how many bike shops there are here!
