The purpose of the message board is to insure everyone has the
opportunity to voice their opinion about our regattas and our FFF
series races.

Opening questions for the new Series.

The Tanglewood at Sebring has proposed a delay to the beginning of
the
FFF4 due to some of it's members being snow birds. A delay until
November would allow them as well as other snowbirds to be able to
participate in all 5 events.

Sebring also wishes to host the first event, does anyone have a
problem with this?

Another question while I am on the subject, Does anyone wish to
commit
to a particular month to host a leg of the FFF4?

cheers
Butch

Currently looking at Saturday, November 14th. Previous week is Solings
at the Villages. EC-12's have a regatta at this time also.

No problem with the dates but we should have a regatta in the mean
time.
I don't have a problem with the box thing and rudder in full movement
even though a boat straight in the box with rudder not in the box does
not have to move. But the sail thing I have to fight that. You need a
sail change every 5 mph so 0 to 20 that's 4 sail changes. If the boat
makes it in the box it should be unlimited sails. So you can get the
most out of your boat. Not living with the 2 sails your stuck with. In
Florida the wind changes every 30 minutes some times we all know this.
That's just my opinion what is yours. Island Dave

We planed on a regatta Oct 3rd. in Titusville.

I like unlimited sails too, but if we really abide by class rules we could have only 2 sails and one of those being 12 inches or less. There is a movement going on to try and change the current class rules. So by going to 3 sails and one of those being under 12 inches maybe we could be a little ahead of the curve and give the rule makers something to think about.

Maybe in Sept we could host a regatta also or if someone else wants to we could sail there.
That keeps the pace going in Footy land.

I proposed to Bernie of Vero that we try and do the Vero, Titusville challenge in Sept.
That gives us a shot at getting back the club trophy.

It looks like there is a new vote starting this weekend. I think it's
a decent idea but I'm not sure it will totally calm things down. I
suggest we see what that brings before we solidify the FFFIV rules
