Care and Feeding
Cold damage incurred by this unusually cold and long winter has
been substantial to some bamboos and some locations. We'll discuss
options for getting plants back on track, and ways to avoid or minimize
damage in the future.
Propagation
While no 'trade secrets' will be revealed at this propagation
introduction and demonstration, a review of techniques used for clumping
and running bamboo propagation will be covered. Perhaps you want to
make the most out of your investments or just want to attempt to
propagate. We'll also discuss resources online for those interested in
taking propagation to the next step. We will also discuss the
difficulties in propagation and those in tissue culture. The potential
impact of tissue culture on the price and demand of bamboo should not be
ignored. It's also an exciting opportunity for better penetration of
bamboo into the average household.
Bamboos Will Be Sold to Benefit the Society
There will be time for questions and answers as well as a group
discussion if time permits.
