That's the error only 1 of our users on our domain is receiving when attempting to ADD a new contact either to My Contacts or any of the shared groups.
Also receiving the error FAILED TO UPDATE THE CONTACTS GROUP MEMBERSHIP: YOUR QUOTA HAS BEEN EXCEEDED when attempting to change group membership.

As it stands now, this user can do nothing but view contacts.  It doesn't appear that there should be any issues with quota's as the remaining users have no issues with the same # of contacts.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Also, contacts aren't syncing to this user (Sean Goerss).  It appears everything is going into google's accounts OTHER CONTACTS group.  Google recommended that he delete everything from the Other Contacts group, but I'm unsure if that will delete the contacts from everyone!  We don't have many people synced up right now, but I don't want to delete 11,000 contacts and have to start from scratch!

Thanks for the screenshot.
This error seems to be at Google's end - there is nothing we can do. They've increased the contacts limits from 10,000 to 25,000 a while ago, but probably there still are some hidden limits regarding the group memberships.
How many contacts is this user holding in total?

I believe he has probably around 1,000 or so in a couple Shared Groups and My Contacts.  I'm just nervous for him to delete anything from the Other Contacts without knowing if it'll delete them from the Shared Groups database.
Under my acct, I've successfully added the contacts to the groups and they are syncing with Shared Groups.

We are having this same issue. It is not because anyone exceeded too many contacts. I have less than 200 and I had someone else who had about the same. Basically no one can add from the directory to their own contacts from what I can tell. Hope this gets fixed soon. Just about to turn 1500 folks loose on this and this would really create some issues for us.

Are you using Personal or Enterprise Edition?

If you are using Personal Edition:
- What accounts are affected?

If you are using Enterprise Edition:
- What is your app-id?
- Who is managing the subscription?

I'm having the same problem with Google Contacts.  I can not add anymore.  I'm getting the same message about exceeding quota.  I havent.

I'm having this same issue on my personal gmail account.  I have only a few hundred contacts, and this error is occuring daily and now prevents me from adding ANY new contacts to my contact list.

Completely ridiculous. This is the first time I need to seriously consider giving up using my gmail as my primary email if they can't take this serious.

I don't know where to start to "debug" the issue, but any info on how I should do this is appreciated.  This is a very serious issue, and no new contacts are saving. Even worse, on mobile it doesnt' tell me when the save fails, it simply never saves the contact.

Please help.
