Tuesday night, homeowners at 35th Street and Delaware, had someone try to

break into all of the cars in their driveway.  One was unlocked and was gone

through.  The neighbor across the street saw the robbery attempt.

The man was African American and dressed in dark clothing.  He hid behind

the garage until the homeowner rounded the corner and spotted him.  The

burglar ran through another neighbor's yard to get away.  The homeowner

jumped into his car in pursute, but lost him.  Police were notified.

It was obvious the homeowners were home.  They were having company for

dinner, the house was well lit, and there were multiple cars in the

driveway. Bold attempt.  Be aware.  Thank you to the neighbor who

intervened.
