This being Memorial Sunday, the topic for the sermon is "Remembering"
I have choosen as a test, psalm 96.

While this sermon time will not deal with Memorial Day specifically,
it is a time to remember those who have gone before us to fight wars
and lay down their lives. It is also a time to remember people who
have been involved in our lives, both postive and negative.

Psalm 96 is a praise of what God has done, what he will do and even
what he is doing now. It lifts up his greatness and glory.

We are tom "Make a new song", "Declare His Glory", :Worship His
spleandor" and say, "The Lord Reigns"

My general thought is to remind the people of God to remember what God
has and is doing in their lives. That is one of the major components
of worship.

Thoughts???? I could sure use some help. Last week's offerings were
rather slim

Memorial Day means a lot to me. My dad was in WW,I, I was drafted 2 months
after graduating being only 18. I landed on Utah beach in August 1944, Lost
many good buddies as we traveled up through France. I was in the Combat
Engineers so we fought as infantry as well as engineers building bridges I
fought in the Battle of the Bulge and was Baptized under fire and met the
Lord in a shell hole My war ended when we met the Russians and ended up in
Berlin, Germany.
MEMORIAL DAY MEANS MUCH TO ME. " FOR THE LORD IS GREAT, AND GREATLY TO BE
PRAISED"
THE UNKNOWN SOLDIER. THE SERMON WILL BE GREAT AS YOU BRING THE MESSAGE FROM
PSALM 96.
