My sermon on May 9 is entitled "Holy Reminders". It is based on John
14:23-29.

The concept of the working sermon is that God reminds us of things all
the time. We may or may not realize His reminders in our lives. In
John's gospel, we find that Jesus is speaking to a disciple and tells
him that the Spirit will come and remind the people of the facts that
Jesus taught and what his life stood for.

Question 1 - Any holy reminders in your life.
Question 2 - I am not preaching a Mother's Day Sermon. Good or Bad
idea?
Question 3 - Anything on your mind.

Good idea! You have SUCH good ideas! How do you keep your head from
exploding?
Questions 1 Yeah, Holy Reminders all the time, from appreciations of
the glory of God's work this spring, and thankfulness that I have eyes
to see, and ears to hear the songs of the birds. Also, for some
strange reason, I get "nudges" about things I should/need to do.
Questions 2 Don't think it's a bad idea. You can make references in
other places in worship to Mother's Day, plus...how about Mother's
reminding us, both as children & adults? Maybe we can recognize God's
reminders through our experience with our Mothers.
Question 3 - What mind?

Peace,
Janalie
