In order to further organize and develop the Campaign
Justice for Mohamed Harkat, The Justice for Mohamed
Harkat Committee will meet:
Monday, April 24, 2006
6:30 pm
University of Ottawa
Pavillon Simard, Room: 125
Come and help organize for futures actions.
The agenda includes:
- Emergency rally to oppose Mohamed Hakat transfer to
Guantanamo North (Millhaven)
- Public Forum on Rights, May 18, 2006
- June 2006 events in Ottawa leading to the upcoming
Supreme Court challenge June 13- 15, 2006: Freedom
Caravan and "Camp Hope" from Toronto, public forum
with the families of the 5 Men and fundraising event.
The demands of the Justice for Mohamed Harkat
Committee are that Mohamed Harkat:
- Be released immediately;
- Not be deported,
- Be allowed to defend himself in open, fair and
independant trial with full disclosure of the case
against him, and
- the abolition of the Security Certificate and the
end of the secret trials in Canada.
