Diabetes and impotence. Dr. Hayes

My partner has diabetes and gives himself one needle per day. He also
has
an impotence problem and
has used Viagra 100 dosage with limited success. Recently a herbal
remedy
has been advertised but he
is reluctant to try it as as he had a heart alert about four
years ago and
fears herbal remedies may
conflict with medication he takes for 'mild high blood
pressure'. My
understanding of the heart alert is of a vein 'collapsing' due
to plaque
in the vein which required the plaque being pressed back against the
walls
of the vein. It was not necessary to put a shunt in. I have
suggested he
consult a qualified
Herbalist who is trained to understand conventional medical
treatment and
would work with his doctor
in providing back-up treatment to benefit the heart, the
diabetes and
impotence, but without medical
confirmation that this might be of help, he is reluctant to take
the step.

Without knowing what is in the herbal product it is hard to tell
you if
there is a problem or not. I would find out what is in the
product and
contact your physician and pharmacist and let them make sense
out of
it. You can also try to find a doctor who has training in
alternative
medicine.
