THIVS conducts both short-term workcamps and development projects programmes attachment in various parts of the country all the year around.Duration of volunteering depends on Volunteer interests, needs and availability.
WORKCAMPS/DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS PROGRAMMES FOR 2005 AND BEYOND.
HIV/AIDS outreach, Aids patients home-based care and support, Construction of water tanks, Income-generation and development schemes, Poultry Units construction,Environmental and nature conservation efforts, Water and sanitation, Construction of classrooms, Lake beach rehabilitation and Bio-diversity Initiatives Medical and Health Care works, Teaching in learning institutions, Human rights and social justice, Gender equity programs and Rehabilitation of social amenities. Others includes Pottery, Bricks and Marts making Construction of low-cost houses, Girls rehabilitation and care,Credit and saving scheme, Care for orphaned, abandoned and disabled children in orphanages,
WORK-CAMP ACTIVITY COST.
1.Workcamp/Development Project Attachment: 250 Euros - short-term (3 weeks). 2.Two Successive Work Camps: 350 Euros 3.After a normal workcamp, THIVS charge 200 Euros per month for medium and long-term volunteers.
