Broadcasters must monitor multiple video and audio feeds simultaneously to ensure the broadcast runs smoothly. A multiviewer allows them to see all the feeds on a single screen, making it easier to identify any issues or errors that may arise. It allows users to monitor video and audio quality, detect errors, and perform analysis on the content being broadcasted in real time.

Actus multiviewer can be part of Actus compliance logging and intelligent monitoring platform and does not require any additional hardware resources: all your compliance and multiviewer needs in one cost-effective solution (2 in 1).

4. Browser-based Multiviewer: Actus multiviewer is fully browser-based and can be controlled remotely via a network connection, allowing the user to manage, adjust and monitor the feeds from any location

At NAB NY 2023, Actus Digital, the leading compliance logging and intelligent monitoring platform, will showcase its comprehensive product range and latest innovations. This includes a new browser-based multiviewer with enhanced penalty box and monitoring-by-exception features, as well as new OTT monitoring capabilities and advanced content monitoring with AI-driven video and audio analysis.

The SPLITMUX 4K 18Gbps HDMI Quad Screen Multiviewer allows video from four different HDMI 2.0 Ultra-HD 4Kx2K 60Hz sources to be simultaneously displayed in real-time on a single monitor. It is capable of displaying the HDMI 2.0 video signals in quad, PiP, full, or custom mode. The multiviewer supports input/output resolutions up to Ultra-HD 4Kx2K (3840x2160 and 4096x2160 @24/30/60Hz YUV 4:4:4) in all display modes with independent video in to video out resolution.

The SPLITMUX 4K 18Gbps HDMI Quad Screen Splitter/Multiviewer with Built-In USB KVM Switch allows video from four different HDMI 2.0 Ultra-HD 4Kx2K 60Hz computers to be simultaneously displayed on a single monitor. Additionally, it can switch one of the four attached computers to a shared keyboard and mouse for operation and to two additional USB devices.

The SPLITMUX Low-Cost HDMI Dual Screen Splitter/Multiviewer allows you to simultaneously display real-time HDMI/DVI video from two different sources on a single monitor. Control the multiviewer through front panel buttons, IR remote, or RS232.

The MV0430 is an exquisite and professional SDI multiviewer which features 4-channel 3G / HD / SD-SDI auto adaptive inputs and 2-channel 3G-SDI as well as 1-channel HDMI outputs. Total 16 preset layouts are provided for choices. User can also adjust the size and position of 11-chararcter UMD and audio meter overlay freely. All the functions can be easily set by a built-in DIP switch, or PC via LAN. MV0430 is your ideal choice for broadcasting and AV post production applications.

The Avenue MV82 is an eight input/two output multiviewer. All eight sources can be displayed on one screen, or split into two quad splits. The MV164 is a sixteen input/four output multiviewer. All sixteen sources can be displayed on one screen, or divided between four outputs. The 9480 Multiviewer option to the Avenue Integrated Routing System provides incredible flexibility, drawing from the sources to the router, and returning multiviewer outputs directly to the router matrix without tying up valuable routing inputs. This level of integration is seen nowhere else, and the results are spectacular. Routing, production switching and now multiviewing, all in a footprint that is the most dense in the business.

SDVoE Transmitters based on the AVP2000 are able to output two streams simultaneously: the native stream of the HDMI input, plus a scaled stream of that same input. For multiviewer applications, AVP2000-based Transmitters with AV processing are required in order to manage network bandwidth, by pre-scaling and/or reducing the frame rate of the source to fit the destination multiview window. For example, an SDVoE Transmitter can send a 4K60 source as a frame rate divided 4K30 stream and a 1080p60 scaled stream, since both streams fit within the 10G network bandwidth. The 4K30 stream can be subscribed to by Receivers for displaying full screen on a 4K TV, while another Receiver is configured to show the 1080p60 scaled stream as the Picture In Picture source in a multiview.

For multiviewer applications, the AVP2000 is also required in the SDVoE Receiver. The AV processing engine requires two additional DDR memory components in a typical low cost design. The devices uses the DDR memory to implement a very powerful video frame buffer, required to compose the desired multiview layouts prior to outputting to the display. The AVP2000 is shown here coupled with an SFP+ optical module for 10G fiber network connectivity. However, the AVP2000 can also be paired with a 10GBaseT PHY for 10G over copper category cables.

The RGB QuadView UHD is a 7x1 multi-format switcher and scaler that also provides a multiviewer. Up to 4 sources can be shown on 1 display in 16 different configurations, there are 16 presets that will allow you to find the correct layout that you are looking for with 4K resolution. For your video inputs you have 4 HDMI, 2 DisplayPort, and 1 VGA, your video output is 1 HDMI. Integrated into the switcher is an auto scaler for each input that can scale any input up to UHD and then send to any window. The QuadView UHD provides quick windowing, scaling, and switching with the incredible fast on board image processor.

ProPresenter 7 comes with the powerful ability to output to multiple screens all at once. In a large production setup, these outputs would normally go through a video system that is connected to a dedicated multiviewer for the video director to see and monitor. However, a multiviewer isn't always available to the ProPresenter operator, or you may only want to see the outputs from ProPresenter and none of the other sources. You may also not even have a multiviewer available depending on how your system is setup.

TAG Video Systems has announced that its monitoring and multiviewer platform is being used in the EU-funded 5G-VIRTUOSA project to explore operational and cost benefits of 5G and virtualisation in live production
