Need Documentation to get started

Hi,

Is there any development blog or wiki to get started with the flockDB codebase. Inspired by this answer, I am trying to create a mini version of flockDB. There are many people who told me to read a book or join a class.But I thought, lets make my own mistake.Comments ?

Please share anything you have in mind which may help me get started.

I am calling the project flockDB version -1.
