FlockDB with relational MySQL

We have a conceptual idea that we are researching combining a relational MySQL database with FlockDB. Is that possible? We thought about doing everything with the FlockDB model, but thought some of it might be better relational.
If you have ideas on how we may not need that, please let me know.
