I saw this issue somewhere else, but couldn't re-find it.  (It had been reported a month or two ago, and it was acknowledged as a bug to fix.)

Anyway; the Preferences will save all my other settings, but won't save my Location setting if I select the page-with-anchor setting.  (Actually, it did save it the very first time, but then stopped saving it after that.)   I reloaded, and also removed/redownloaded/restarted...didn't help (oddly, though, it did recall my earlier settings.)

This function is the SPECIFIC reason I chose FloatNotes, so I'm very interested in the fix.

Soon, I hope?

Yeah, I saw it, I'm currently working on a new version. Are you
talking about the default location in the preference pane or the
location for a specific note? In my current tests it works fine, but I
will make some more tests.

Best,
Felix

Here...

Preferences
  Locations
    Current Page
      ..with anchor

the note does not anchor to the page itself, so if you close the email, the note remains on the email site.

the physical location of the note on the screen does not matter (I've moved it around just to check.)

It's just like the other person had said before - the problem seems to be that the setting won't save.  The very first time I looked for help on this, I read your response to the person and followed the instructions - it worked fine.  However, after closing down for the night, the issue popped up the next day; and this time when I corrected the settings, it refused to save the setting even during that session...the selection simply would be ignored.  So, IMHO it appears the error is in how the settings window records that particular selection, not the selection itself.
