I am transitioning to a new computer to beat the XP support deadline, but my Firefox synchronization has not transferred my add-ons; I'm not sure why. (Otherwise the Firefox synchronization has worked fine.) So I'm downloading and installing each add-on separately. I've checked the FloatNotes Synchronize preference.

Can you tell me how I can move my notes to your server and then retrieve them onto my new computer?

Best wishes,
Richard Johnson

Hi Richard,

Enabling synchronization in the settings for Floatnotes should work, but
on the other hand synchronization of arbitrary plugin data is not
officially supported, so it might not always work.

You can "sync" your notes manually, by copying the floatnotes.sqlite
file from your Firefox profile directory into the profile directory on
your new computer.

I hope that helps!

Best,
Felix

Thanks. I was not able to open the sqlite file in my obsolete XP computer,
so I used your Notes Manager to review my notes and re-create them where
necessary.
