Is it possible to have the location of the SQLite database for the notes located somewhere other than in the user's Firefox profile folder?  My user profile is on a disk drive which is pressed for free space, but I've got a Western Digital "My Book" external drive with almost a terabyte of free space.  Putting the data there would make my use of Web Notes much easier.  Along the same line; is there any chance that Web Notes will offer the option of using a MySQL database for its storage requirements?

TIA,
Ron

Hi Ron,

Changing the location is in the planning... as soon as I have time again (probably November) I will add this feature. MySQL won't be supported, as Firefox does not support an API for that. But what I wanted to add is the possibility to store the notes at a server. I will probably write some server software for it, along with some API specification. So that might be a possibility to use a MySQL database. But I don't know yet when I will have time for that.

Best,
Felix

Thank you for the nice plugin.
The FloatNotes (0.8.0.1) preferences has an option to change the storage location but it is not working for me. On clicking the "choose" button, it launches the file browser. Then I select the new directory and give the name of the new file name as "floatnotes2" and then click "save". The text box opposite custom location remains blank. I am on windows-7 (64 bit)

Thanks for the report! I haven't had a chance to test it on Windows, but I will find a way and look into it. Thank you again!
