Welcome to motivation - Day Two.

Make exercise a habit. In the beginning you will need to keep doing it
until it becomes second nature.

** A recent study by researcher Diane Klein, PhD, shed some light on
the subject. Long-term exercisers (who had been working out for an
average of 13 years) were asked to rank what motivated them to keep up
with their regimes.

Their answers might surprise you. The exercisers were not as concerned
with powerful pecs and awesome abs as they were with feeling good and
being healthy.

Here's how the study participants ranked their motivators:

* Fitness
* Feelings of well-being
* Pep and energy
* Enjoyment of the exercise
* Making exercise a priority
* Sleeping better
* Feeling alert
* Being relaxed
* Weight management
* Appearance

** From Web MD web site

We have identified these following areas that keep usand our clients
motivated.

* Make exercise a priority - it is your time and should be allocated
as such.
* Make a commitment to another person - your friend, spouse, kids. You
tend not to let another person down but you easily let yourself off
the hook if it just up to you.
* Do activities you enjoy - why do something you don't like. The more
you exercise the more you want to try new things.
* Exercise first thing in the morning - before the days activities
draw you away from your exercise routine.
* Use incidental exercise - park the car further from the shops, get
off the bus one stop earlier, take the stairs.
* Exercise when you don't feel like it - it is an amazing energy
booster.
* Record your activity - mark an "X" on the calendar the days you
train, record distances walked, use a pedometer and count steps (aim
for the 10,000 mark)
* Recognise your progression - are your clothes fitting better,
sleeping better, you can go further without the need for rest
* Reward your achievements - go to the movies, buy yourself a gift,
new clothes

Now go and seize the day with an enjoyable exercise activity and
record your results
