I adore horror comedies, and I'm thrilled about the explosion of films in this category. However, most lack the horror element. It's more enjoyable than frightening. Death of a Unicorn effectively satisfies the horror genre. The tension and anxiety in a handful of the scenes reminded me of the original Jurassic Park.
Though erratic, the comic aspect is great. While some attempts fall flat, but not to the point where I cringe, others I found amusing. In addition to the visually distinctive characters, I liked the complete cast.
