Flixtor streaming narrative and plot were completely infuriating. I cannot condone the way Moore's character, Kate, treats Claire (Sweeney), and vice versa. It seemed far too implausible. A mother's love is indeed unconditional, but there is a distinction between being unconditional and being overly indulgent. At some point, well before the film's events, Kate should have recognized that her incessant "help" was causing more harm than good. I dislike when movies normalize this relationship dynamic between parents and children and demonize the voice of reason. I completely grasp the parental instinct to shield your children at all costs, but when your actions only pull them further into their self-destruction, who are you truly protecting?
