As a musical fantasy comedy, Smurfs flixtor should have one strong point: music. And it definitely has music—perhaps too much of it. Rihanna contributes several original tracks, some showcasing her typical pop style, but the lyrics are painfully straightforward and strangely misaligned with the film's emotional moments.
