Depth of the imaging

Hi,

 I am using Lepton 3.5 with Pure Thermal Breakout board. I have it wired up to a pizero 2. A week ago the normalized images were looking reasonably fine. However now I notice image of objects further than 1ft are all cold (or black). I needed this to sense thermal map from 100 - 1000ft or more.

 Could there be a calibration loss? Appreciate any pointers.

 I am using the pylepton.Lepton3 to capture image.

I think you'll need lenses to get those kinds of distances. 

My lepton worked a a little while hooked up to a Pi Zero 2. Now it clicks the shutter all the time and has some dead pixels. So if your's still works, you're better off than me.
