I think its interesting. Idk if you meant that for Speedlight or Lumiya, but Lumiya's owner just vanished. we had bento and BoM added to the viewer but after that she just poofed. The app vanished from the app store and when you use an APK the Bento joints nor the Bento AO's work and the BoM isn't working anymore. I wish this didn't happen, I know it was not much but it was something and having the 3D View was great. Just having it until Second Life Mobile actually release's would be wonderful. The APK is still available. its just like all the other Chat Platform apps now unless you use a Classic AO and Classic avatar.

Interesting to me, is that even with this we have Forumites who regularly, predictably, say, "but Lumiya can do it" (meaning that Lumiya is some "standard" by which to judge) whenever newer / other mobile viewers are discussed.
That was on the Lab, not the viewer itself. Some of us asked them to hold off on the protocol switch or at least allow both like Opensimulator did, until they had come up with a comparable Mobile viewer, but obviously the answer was no. At least Lumiya users were fortunate in that with the Lab's usual procrastination, it is taking a lot longer to be totally broken then their initial planned obsolescence.
With UDP being disabled, you will have to wait for a viewer update for that to be fixed (and also the changing clothes issue). We don't know how long that will be due to the dev being in hiding for her own safety.
The only fix is an update to Lumiya. From what I heard when I went digging is the author Alina is Russian and missing from SL. Not answering email or logging in. Last update to the viewer was more than a year ago. I can't find the source code anywhere. Presumably it was proprietary.
Barbie, your best option is to use a laptop or a desktop computer for SL. If you have a Chromebook, some people have said it's possible, if you have some skills, to install Linux and use a Linux SL viewer.
Actually you don't. The Lumiya app is old and out of date. There is nothing we can do to update it. It is not broken. So, there is no fix. The lindens have added features to SL and removed old features the Lumiya viewer depended on. Lumiya simply is NOT supported by the SL system.
It does seem a bit daft to miss out on the obvious demand for an android based viewer. This is especially true now that phones have sufficient power to run the graphics of SL. It is ironic that, apart from the issues reported above, I am getting a better experience now on Lumiya than I ever did with my new S10+
lumiya isnt gone and i plan on updating this in the future and reproposing the idea at a later date with optimizations added that i plan to do with a version of its apk ive been working with and modifying/making better to its orignal creator or that of the person who owns its copyright claims
To make logging in more convenient for you, Lumiya viewer may optionally store your Second Life login details on your phone. Your password will not be stored unless you have instructed the viewer to do so, by enabling "Save password" option. In that case, your password is stored in an encrypted form, which is not easily decrypted.
The Lumiya website was last updated in early October 2017 and the latest viewer version was 3.4.2. There has been no word from Alina Lyvette for some time now and it seems unlikely that the Lumiya app will be updated again anytime soon. Myself and many others have tried to get in touch with Alina but so far there have been no responses.
The Lumiya Viewer is still available through Slide.Me (risk) and other websites which may be risky. The last version still offers communications and other viewer functions. However from what I have heard the world rendering and avatar appearance etc are broken.
For me it was one of the best mobile viewers out there for Second Life and OpenSim grids. As many know early last year the Lumiya Viewer was removed from the official Third Party Viewer Directory. Apparently the Lumiya Viewer is still working if you have it installed already.
For those unfamiliar with Lumiya, it is an extensive Android client offering all the essential functionality found in the viewer: ability to chat, IM, carry out group functions, manipulate inventory and outfits, manage transactions, interact with objects (including viewing & editing scripts, permissions allowing), teleport to places, view the map, and so on. And, for those who wish a more immersive experience on their android device (providing it has the processing power), Lumiya provides a real-time scene rendering capability, allowing you to see the world and other avatars, touch objects, operate your camera, walk, fly, and so on.
It was quite pleasant to find out i could access SL with my new Asus Transformer using this app; i do find myself wishing mesh was more widely supported, however something is better than nothing. In particular, the fact that this viewer is being actively developed is a good sign and a strong message to LL that this is exactly the thing that is needed in light of the fact that so many people are adopting tablet devices. It is a shame that complimentary apps on the iOS side have not been updated for quite some time.
The 2.5.4 Update of the Lumiya Secondlife viewer brought sky & clouds & night-sky & daytime settings to my tablet too. The 2.5.4 Update fixed some PowerVR related issue which my tablet seems to use.It also brought: llTextBox() and resizeable HUDs.

Firestorm is the preferred viewer for OpenSim users, based on a survey of Hypergrid Business readers. Nearly 53 percent of respondents chose Firestorm as their favorite, followed by 26 percent for Singularity and 7 percent for Alchemy.

The most appreciated feature of their preferred viewer was the ability to export and import content, selected by 54 percent of respondents. Linden Lab and OnLive have just announced SL Go by OnLive. SL Go by OnLive is the first Second Life mobile app viewer that enables you to experience Second Life on your Android device over a 4G/LTE or wireless connection. Because SL Go runs on the OnLive game platform and is rendered on their servers and the rendered video is sent down the network to the OnLive software, it comes close to giving a rich desktop experience.
