I made a playlist of 1.868 songs that different subreddits consider "perfect" songs. The playlist is a mixed genre playlist of songs considered perfect by fans of the genres and artists. I have discovered new music based on their suggestions and thought I'd share.
Here's the scenario: I'm playing a playlist, and a song comes up that i no longer like. I can't find an option in the Spotify Android app that lets me simply remove the song from the list. All i can do i go to the playlist (not the "now playing" queue), search for the song in the list, and once i find it remove it. That sure seems clunky. There must be a better way....
You don't have to go through the whole playlist to find a song you want to delete. You can access the search bar by going to the three-dot menu. Then you can enter song title, artist or album there.
Thanks....i'm aware of that. But it seems unnecessarily clunky that you have to enter the song name, etc. to search for it in the list when the song is already playing. It would make sense to have an option to "remove song from this playlist," much like there is an option to "add song to another playlist."
One solution is (in the meanwhile? Don't know how long it exists): Be in the Playlist view, press "previous song" (maybe you have to press two times) Then you see the last song you played and you wanted to delete now on top of the Playlist. And on the left of the song name is a small circle. Touch the circle, then, at bottom left you can select delete song. Nevertheless there should be a direct delete function for a currently played song !!
I would like to share a tip about how to play a playlist one song at a time from iTunes on a computer. The tip I am sharing is simple, but I was not able to find it in the iTunes Help. After searching on the internet I found the idea for this solution in a discussion in which this was presented as a frustrating problem rather than a desired behavior. This tip relies on the checkbox for each song in iTunes. For a song in a playlist to play automatically, the checkbox must be checked. To keep a song from playing in a playlist, simply uncheck it. Therefore, to keep all songs from playing automatically in a playlist, simply uncheck them all. Now you have a list of desired songs in a desired order but none of them will play automatically. You can play each one when you want to play it without having to search for the next song and without having to be at the computer to stop the playing after each song.
Based on some discussions I found while looking for a solution (including at least one in which the questioner got bashed about why anybody would ever want to do such a thing and in which the proposed solutions were things like creating one song playlists or simply press stop after each song), some may not understand why this would ever be desired. Here's why I wanted to do it:
I was responsible for playing a series of songs at a dance. I needed to stop after each song to have a transition time to allow me to introduce the next song and to give new dancers time to get onto the floor and other dancers an opportunity to leave the floor. Furthermore, I was also dancing and didn't want to have to spend time searching for the next song (which is why I wanted to create a playlist in advance with just the songs I wanted to play in the order I wanted to play them) and I wanted each song to stop after playing since I was not at the computer to press stop.
I used this to solve a problem when I run a Music Trivia Quiz. (Essentially i'm acting like a DJ of sorts) You need to be able to step through the clips in a playlist at whatever pace the group is willing/able to go. People need time to run through the song in their heads to see if they can figure out who the artist is and what the name of the song is.
Thank you! I put some self help hypnosis tracks to listen to on my iPod. I did not want to go to the next track automatically, I wanted to listen to them individually, one at a time. (If I fell asleep, I did not want to 'wake up' in the middle of a different track.) Your information helps me understand that I need to re-load this playlist onto my iPod from my Mac computer, only first, I need to UNCHECK the boxes in front of each track so the iPod will STOP each time after playing the selected track. It is too bad that so many functions are not availabvle within the iPod, but that is probably why they can make it so compact.

I recorded and edited a large collection of poetry for a girl who does workshops and needs to be able to select single poems from the playlist and play them without worrying about the track looping or moving on to the next poem. I've never needed to use iTunes for anything like this and was clueless as to what to tell her. You saved her bacon.
Check box is not missing. Just view your playlist in the Songs view. Change it in the top right corner where you see the dropdown for Album, Genre, Songs, etc... That's how you change the view for playlists.

I didn't discovered what the best way to directly record a title playing on "radio" yt music via nest mini to add to one of my playlist.
For instance, I get trouble to finalize this command : "OK google, add the title playling to my playlist N 5"
In general, it says: "i have add it to bibliotheca from yt music" but i get also trouble to find it back the biblioteca easily where and in which position... Maybe it should have a data timer in case you ask to add few title the same session...but best would be to add directly to playlist of choice.

Thank you, what i was thinking is to send a song title to one of my playlist. I was wondering if voice command recognize my playlist name to eventually send it directly instead of going to the library to after put it in the playlist in a second time...

Poweramp have button only for delete file from mobile storage. But I cannot delete song ONLY from playlist if I`m listening songs in there. So, if I accidentally added a song to a playlist, then it will remain forever. And I dont like this.
I have deleted files from playlist I dont use/listen to often removed the offline data to see if that would work, tried moving files to a new folder, restarting my phone but no luck. The only way Playlist will move forward after the track has ended is if I toggle the repeat 1 track button on but to play the next track in the album/folder automatically is impossible. It will skip to the next track only to freeze and I have to press play myself. I have the latest version of the app as well as the latest IOS installed.
I know this has been asked before, but I am new to JavaScript and after having read other answers I can't understand specifically why my method isn't working. The first track that plays is random, but then when the song ends, the same track repeats over and over again instead of choosing a different random track. If audio.play chooses a random track the first time, why doesn't it choose a random track again when the song ends, but instead loops the same track? Help appreciated:
I have insert on Sonos system my Spotify account (Family plan), but when I try to find something I Have difficult to find songs.
If I try on direct on Spotify app, with same account, research works regularly.
For various reasons, I have been feeling strange and a little destabilised this week, and so to sit down on Sunday evening and read through your lists and letters was reassuring and a genuine pleasure. As a songwriter, I often wonder if people understand my efforts to do the best by a song, and these lists and beautiful letters showed me that, of course, you do. It has been deeply affecting.
I've done a quick search across these Garmin forums and the Spotify community and can't find anyone else who finds it annoying that the "Liked Songs" playlist is not an option in the Spotify ConnectIQ app. This is really strange as the "Liked Songs" list is given the prominent top position in the music playlists in "My Library" in the Spotify iOS app; clearly indicating it's something people want/like/use.
I believe the Spotify ConnectIQ app is under Spotify's control, rather than Garmin, so any change will need to be initiated by Spotify. So I've started an Idea Thread over on the Spotify ideas area (Spotify do actually review this area and act on it). If they could add a like function too that would be even better, but I imagine that might be a bit tricky given the ConnectIQ version of Spotify is infrequently connected to their servers (only when you do a WiFi sync with Spotify to update or add playlists), which could cause sync priority headaches.
I generally find the Spotify smartphone app is a great way of just browsing around music on Spotify, then I just hit the like symbol when I find something I want to listen to again. Equally, it's fairly quick to unlike something when you've had enough of a like song. So for me, the "Liked Songs" playlist is dynamic and ever changing, which is one of the primary reasons I'd like to have it on my Fenix too.
