Was there one (or more) take-away(s) from the PLN that inspired you to want to try something new/different in your classroom?

This was a great PLN, Amanda!!  Even though I am already a flipper, I definitely learned new things.  I printed out and wrote down some notes in the fillable worksheet.  I felt like that helped me more purposefully frame my goals for learning in my flipped "classroom" (gym).  One of the tools I'm taking away and trying is polling.  Our middle school has a BYOD, so I can utilize that to allow students to get quick feedback from them, where I can then choose to share or just keep to myself depending on the types of questions I pose to them.  I'm looking forward to trying it!!

Amanda,
Thank you so much for the amazing PLN!  I haven't made the flip yet, but plan to, so this has made me feel a lot more confident for when I do!  I REALLY liked the worksheet, like Karen mentioned.  That helped me get a better sense of what to do when and the timeline for everything.  Thanks again.  This was really awesome.

Hey Hillary,
I'm so glad you found the worksheet helpful!!  I'm thinking it might be worthwhile to print some copies of it for our next department meeting, since I know some people are better digesters of information when it's on paper, which may then hopefully lead them to the PLN for even more info!

Thanks again for the feedback!

hey all,
I'm with Hillary here.. very new to this whole idea of flipping, but do agree that the worksheet has helped a lot.  I printed it out because I'm one of those paper people Amanda was talking about earlier.  Because this is all so new to me, I probably won't give it a go this year, but next year seems pretty doable.  I really enjoyed reading about everyone's thoughts!  And I agree with the others, Amanda- great job on this PLN!  I feel like I understand the whole concept and purpose behind it now.

I agree with everybody here.  This was really well done, Amanda!  I think the most valuable section for me was the tools list in the Toolbox page.  I have some further work to do in researching some of these tools, but look forward to it because I love trying new things.  Thanks, Amanda!

Greetings, fellow PLN members!

I also wanted to take a moment to share how valuable I felt Amanda's PLN is.  I'm in my 28th year teaching, and while I am close to retirement, I am still looking for ways to improve my practice and keep things fresh!  I feel that flipping my classroom could be a great way for me to achieve that this year.  Thanks to Amanda for setting this up.  I look forward to learning together as we discuss and share.

Sincerely,
Michael
