Flip Cuppers-
Who: You
When: Thursday January 26, 2006--- 8:30pm
Where: Marina Sports Bar
Why: Beer Pitcher Specials and Flip CUP!
Tomorrow night we are going to start with regular season play! But WAIT! We are not discouraging people who don't have teams or who just want to come out and have fun to not come. There will be plenty of teams that need substitutes and many independent pickup games of flip cup even if your team isn't registered. The purpose of this league is to gather fun people together and to have fun. We are not going to be exclusive in any way. The only way we can keep track of a league and standings are to have registered teams. So if
you don't have a team, but still want to play, PLEASE COME OUT AND HAVE FUN! There will be plenty of us just hanging out, so nothing is really going to change from the previous weeks.
Registration:
- CAPTAINS need to ONLY REGISTER
- There are NO registration fees...so this league is FREE!
- Attached is an excel spreadsheet that the CAPTAINS need to complete and send back to me at dand...@gmail.com anytime throughout the season
- Registration is now OPEN, and will be a rolling registration up until the end of season tourney. (The earlier you register and play, the more chances to gain points, the more points your team has, the better seeding in the tourney, and the less games you have to play in the tourney, better chances of winning it all)
- You can also register on
Thursday nights with Dan Darcy, Tom O'Brien, or Rob Kniaz
League Play (How it works on Thursday Nights)
- The only way your team gains points is by playing other team captains that are registered. We will introduce team captains to other captains so they know who to play, etc. You have to make sure they are registered otherwise it is not legit league play.
- Point system is on the website (best 3 of 5) and if you win, it's 2 league points. If you lose, you don't lose any points but proper beer etiquette states you should buy the winning team a pitcher.
- You must have a MINIMUM of 6 players "on the field" and no more than 10 players. This is up to the opposing captains to decide on how many players.
- We will have league standings posted on the web for you to view throughout the week. Check www.flipcupsf.com for the
latest standings.
- Have fun.
Ok, that's enough for now. Sorry that it was such a lengthy email. Please forward this onto others that are interested! Let me know if you have any questions.
Look forward to getting your rosters and seeing you at the tables!
