I downloaded Teamspeak3 server Windows 64bit and ran the programme on my local computer. I do not know how to see details about my firewall but I can show you an image of my Windows firewall settings.image751439 11.6 KB
Thank you so much for your helpful messages! I am trying to use TeamSpeak 3 as an alternative to my public Discord server because of the prohibition of plugins/addons, the upcoming policy against certain keywords and some other features I dislike. I appreciate help because I am new in making TeamSpeak 3 servers.
If I am on computer 2 and using my phone as a hotspot, and then using the teamspeak client on computer 2. using the external ip address 97.xx.xx.xx then computer 2 can connect to the teamspeak server on computer 1.
I cant connect to the server of a friend while he and another friend can. I tried everything on this list but nothing worked. I am able to connect to the DNS Testserver but not the IP one (my friend is also using an ipadress for connection).
Every time I try to join a TeamSpeak server it resolves the domain and a short time later the connection to the server fails. I have already turned off my firewall, reset my network properties and uninstalled teamspeak and installed the latest version. I am totally desperate and appreciate any help!
Thanks in advance
I'm new to linux, and i have a Teamspeak 3 server on a Ubuntu server. I would like to make the server auto start and stop when the system boots and shuts down. I understand that i need to make scripts in the /etc/init. My question is how would i write such a script? I'm trying to make it nice and simple. Below is what I have written to try to make this possible.
I had posted this originally on the server upgrade thread, but I got a message that this is off topic and has been hidden by the community as not relevant to the that topic so for those of you reading this for the second time, but now as a new topic I apologize.
I had a dedicated TS server (free) running for months without a problem on a Windows 7 64Bit computer dedicated to running just the TS Server. It was used for friends to join while playing the game IL-2 Sturmovik 1946. On January 31st I attempted to join the TS server from my TS Client on my gaming machine and the connection failed. I then checked the server lists and my server was still listed as running. I checked the server computer and discovered the server icon was gone from the system tray/taskbar area. Tried to restart the server, but after a few seconds the icon in the system tray would disappear. Checked the server log and it stated that it could not open a licensekey.dat file and that the server would run, but with limited capability.
I searched the internet and this forum and the consensus appeared to be that my server version needed to be upgraded. I downloaded the latest server version and followed the directions for upgrading exactly as was posted. No matter what I have done the server no longer will run. So now I am at a loss of what to do.
I last successfully started the server (64 BIT version 3.9.1) on January 16th, 2020 and it shut down on 01-31 00:42:30. It had worked fine on January 30th, but when I tried to log into the server on the 31st I could not.
I checked the log files which was running 3.9.1 64 BIT:
The computer this server was running on without issue was Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit SP1 with a AMD 2100+ 64 bit dual core processor. The TeamSpeak server was the only program running (other than the operating system) on this computer without any issues.
Previously I was able to create several groups on the server and channel, all users were able to view the groups, but they did not have access, only when a user with group/permission placed the groups for him and thus released others.
I'm using Unraid now for nearly 2 Month and it works verry well for me as a Plex Media Server and a Nextcloud Server. For these two tasks I'm using Docker Containers and now i want to set up a Teamspeak 3 Server for my friends and me. Now i downloaded another Docker witch is the Linuxserver.io Teamspeak 3 and setuped the Server like I need it. Here is where my Problem starts and thats the part of making this thing visible to my friends out there. It would be easy for me to give this thing an Port Forward in my FritzBox or use the MyFritz DNS but since I have already read very much about the Security thing in Unraid and Docker I'm verry confused what i should do here.
I think you already have the general idea, just confused yourself. Port forward the ports and IP used by Teamspeak docker in your Fritzbox and make sure you changed the default passwords for Teamspeak server. Keep your unRAID server behind the firewall, but allow Teamspeak to be accessible.
This article is for people who are hosting their own servers. First of all we will set a new password and then generate a new one using Server Query. If you still have your serveradmin password, th...
My Plans: I'm wanting to make the button "Auto-Connect" to the Teamspeak server upon, the "Teamspeak Client" opening. Without the user needing to input a Bookmark, Server IP, Anything like that.
If Possible: If this works, would I be able to include a Teamspeak server password, so when they click the button is "Auto-Connects" with a pre-imputed password (Without the user needing to type a password).
After going through those posts that @GeraldSchneider gave me, I found found this "ts3server://ts3.hoster.com:9987" Parameter URL used in linking your Teamspeak to a Webpage. After playing around a bit, trying out different methods,
The Code opens up your 'Teamspeak Client' and 'Auto-Connects' to the server that is implemented. The Server opens up in a "new-tab" (If you are connect to other servers) and joined with your pre-set 'Nickname'.
So its running off of my C Drive in its own folder. Im running windows 10 pro. In order to start the server I double click the .exe file like an absolute unit and it turns on. Im able to connect using my computers address (10.0.0.153) but nobody else can.
Ok so I set up a Ts3 free server on my old pc, first i sent my friends the ip but they couldnt connect. Then i forwarded the ports on my router, still didnt work. Next i made rules for the windows firewall to let connections in and out, that also didnt work. I need help I dont know what to do.
Yes, two of my friends tried to connect from outside of my network. I opened the 10011, 30033 and 9987 Ports. And I am the only one, that can connect with the Ipv4 to my server. And I know that the localhost adress is only for the PC that the server is Running on. I also gave my friends the Ipv4 adress to connect to the server but that didnt work, that is my problem.
Hello. Me and my friends wanted to make a teamspeak3 server so we could talk while we play games together. I downloaded server file from teamspeak.com (version 3.11.0 on windows) and made my server (its working). But when my friend wanted to join the server it would say that the server is blacklisted. Is there any other way to make a server with friends(for free)? Have i did something wrong while making the server(How to Make a Teamspeak Server: A Quick and Easy Tutorial)? Or maybe my friend did something wrong? Please help
Ok. So i did everything you showed me but it did not change anything. I cant join server by using ip as the server adress, but i can do it by using ipv4 adress (i wrote ipconfig in cmd). But my friend still cant join the server. BTW sorry for my english because its not my first language.
Please connect to your server with your Client. Having done so, please go to Permissions -> Server groups. Now get the number in parentheses behind the group you need to be in (e.g. Server Admin (6) => 6)
I just lost as AdminServer because I accidentally reinstall TS3 including bookmarks. It seems like not easy to retrieve back as AdminServer. I still have backup Server Admin Privilege Key, login name, Password & API-Key with me. Is there any idea to retrieve back my server as Admin? Really frustrated to get it back.
For anyone giving further assistance, the server seems to be hosted by -bots.net/.
(No advertisement or anything similar)
And just for the record: This is no confidential information as it is part of the WHOIS record of the given IP.
Ok, so I temporarily set my TeamSpeak proxy to point to your friends server.
Could you try to connect to julianimhof.de.
This is not a permanent solution but just a step to find the real problem!
Now you send a request not to the blocked port 9089 but to the TeamSpeak default port 9987. Such default ports are rather unlikely to be blocked.
My server then listens to any incoming connection on 9987 and just passes it through to 9089 on your friends server.
vServer stands for virtual Server. It is just a small (mostly Linux) machine that he can run anything on. So he could install a TeamSpeak server and ditch the one he just got or he installs a proxy to give you access to the current TeamSpeak server.
Title. Using the official TeamSpeak docker image. I have a subscription to Private Internet Access, what would be the easiest way for me to route the TeamSpeak server through PIA to hide my IP? Can I set it up so that it is completely static so if my friends bookmark the IP address it will always connect? The TeamSpeak server is working flawlessly at the moment.
Hi, thanks for the help. I am running the TS server on a Windows 10 64 bit PC. I forwarded the ports in the router. I also allowed access in the firewall. I will test pinging the server. I need to access the Teamspeak on my network and with the WAN for connections to my other family members out of state. As far as running the server on a correct port I have 192.168.0.11 assigned and made static in the router and also on the server pc. I will post back after I check the instructions you mentioned.
Thanks,
Dave
and look for ts3server.exe session name should be console, if it is running then kill it, remove all files re-download them and try running the server as admin just to test it out, if that will have no effect then it may look like server host issue and you may consider reinstalling the system?
