Hi all,

I am wondering why the nfloat support does not extend to the inverse trig (except atan) and inverse hyperbolic trig functions? More generally, is the work on nfloats done?

Best,
Jeffrey

Hi Jeffrey,

The work on nfloats isn't done.

We could add more nfloat wrappers for existing arb transcendentals. This is just two lines of code per function as in

if someone wants to make a patch.

Note that I'm currently working on new backend code for elementary functions which should improve speed by a factor 2-3 for arb and will be directly callable by nfloat without wrapper overhead. This will hopefully be done in the next few weeks.

Fredrik
