Hi all,

In an effort to make more regular Flint releases I have tagged
v2.8.0-dev in the repository. This is an unofficial/development
snapshot for people to experiment with.

Development releases are not as polished as full releases, i.e. there
are still open issues, the documentation is not updated and it is not
announced publicly on the website. Tarballs are available on GitHub
[1].

The main new features are:

* an fq_default module which chooses automatically between finite
field representation internally so that one gets the benefit of all
three finite field modules in a single Flint module
* fmpz_mod_mpoly (multivariate polynomial over Z/nZ for large n)
* speedups for linear algebra, especially when using threads and/or BLAS
* new fmpq series expansions
* faster CRT
* faster factorisation of polynomials over Z of the form f(x^n)
* various speedups/bug fixes

A full list of changes and contributors will be issued when the final
release is done, hopefully in a couple of months.

Best Wishes,

The Flint Developers.
