Hey, folks. I hope you're enjoying the app.

I have a problem I'm trying to track down and I could use your help.
There's a FC bug (i.e., a Big Ugly Crash) that keeps popping up, and
I'm trying to find the cause, but so far I've been unable to reproduce
it. It happens when the app tries to parse the data retrieved from the
Flickr servers; under some as yet unknown circumstances, that data can
be malformed in such a way that it trips up my parser.

I have, for now, put in code to catch this problem and return an error
message without crashing the app. So that's an improvement, at least.
But I'd like to see if I can figure out what's causing it in the first
place so I can come up with a better solution. This is where you may
be of help.

If you are trying to load a photo and you get an error dialog with the
message "Failed to retrieve data", please send me an e-mail (or just
respond on this discussion group) with a description of what you were
doing when the error happened. Try to be as detailed as possible --
the more information I have, the better, of course. But anything will
be helpful.

Hopefully with your help I'll be able to get to the root of this and
fix it.

Thanks; And happy Flickring!

I was able to produce the "Sorry! The application Flickr Free (process
com.zmosoft.flickrfree) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
Force close" bug by doing the following:

1. Going into one of my groups.
2. Tapping a thumbnail to view a photo.
3. Attempting to download the photo before it loaded by bringing up
the menu and tapping the download button. I had been experiencing a
few seconds of delay due to slowness on either Flickr's end or my
provider's end.

Hope this helps!
