Hi!

unless there is a last minute talk, I would propose canceling
tomorrow's meeting and meet up in October. We all will have more time
to catch up with PLAI and prepare more talks.

What do you think?

Best regards,

Aleix

I have the final review of a European project for which I am
coordinator on Thursday, so I *wholeheartedly* support this
proposal... :)

Well, since this week is being a organizational nightmare to me, I
support the proposal.

It's a little bit drastic, though. What if we meet next week?

Bests,

Jordi

Hi!

IIRC then many people won't be able to attend next week.
From the vote we took best dates seemed to be 16th and 30th.

But I definitely think we should not just cancel, but delay the meeting.

FWIW:
While I do not have time to prepare a PLAI presentation I do have running
code etc. So I could present the material that way. It's about recursion.
I could also recycle a presentation I prepared (and haven't used yet) on
this topic to compare the two approaches (PLAI vs. Y).
That could probably fill 40-60 minutes (depending on the amount of
discussion/Q&A).

OTOH it may be more interesting if you've already read/worked at least
chapter 9 of PLAI (sort of a theoretical treatment of recursion in PLAI).

So: I would be happy to meet anytime in september (that is: tomorrow or
delaying one or two weeks). Cancelling is not an option! ;-)

My two cents...

Well, it seems I used the wrong word. :-)

I'm planning to read chapter 9 and 10 next week.

For sure, not :-). But, as you say, next week is not an option. And
Joss is not able to come on Sep 30.

What about October 7?
