Hello! Just a reminder that we're meeting today. The program is all
lightning talks, all the time. See you at C/Pi 3 Principal Interior at
7:30!

Hello!

Sadly, I can't make it - my impending trip is getting on top of me.
I'll save a lightning talk for later.

Cheers,
Colin

I totally forgot it was today, I was pretty sure I would have one more
week. The past 2 weeks have been very busy, so I won't be able to make
a lightning talk today I am afraid :(

Who is ready?

regards

I've been playing a bit with the plt gui libraries.

I can try to make a simple live demo of building some frames,
comboboxes and buttons :) .

Not very exciting, I know, but maybe it's interesting to someone, and
I can fill 5-10 minutes of today meeting.

See ya later.

I have thought several times about using the PLT gui stuff, but never
got around to it. I would definitely be interested in seeing this...

Hi all!

It's been a nice meeting today.
So thanks to Andy for hosting, and everybody else for their presentations
and cake ;-)

Well, I guess I got inspired (and motivated) for a presentation:
"Wishlist for GUIs". Continuing a little along the lines of Rai's
presentation.

See you in march,
Thomas

PS:
FWIW: PLT's GUI (MrEd) is built on top of wxWidgets.

Hi flibuggers,
A little bit late to tell that yesterday I could not make it because I felt
somewhat ill. I hope you guys had a nice meeting. Let me know when we meet
in march, please.

Hope you're feeling better, we missed you!

I really enjoyed the presentations -- Rai's introduction to writing GUIs
with PLT, and Andrew's notes in image processing in OCaml. I learned
things from both! And the discussion was lovely too.

We talked about dates in March and tentatively settled on sometime in
the week of the 22nd. My preference would be for Wednesday or Tuesday.
What do people think?

I had a lot of fun too. These meetings are always great! Btw, I
posted in [1] the codes I used for the presentation (with some fixes).

Hey guys,

I am so sorry I missed the talked. I did read the emails on the list
but I must confess I've been mentally "out". Anyway, I really expect
to come to the next meeting, both days work for me right now.

I was planning to give a lightning talk for last Wednesday but as I
said I could not make it. The good news are that I can give it on
March :-). It's a talk about a python library to parse/create network
packets (or any binary data) that I've been hacking lately. There are
other good, and much better, libraries out there to do it but I'll
explain you why I had to hack my own one.

By the way, am I allowed to talk about Python and OOP? Anonymous
functions are used (and closures are also useful), this might save the
talk... or not. :-)

See you on March!

Best regards,

Aleix
